Applications are welcomed for the recruitment of several project-based positions at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati, Assam in 2024. The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati is seeking eligible candidates for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) with GATE qualification. The recruitment is for the project titled “Road Surface Quality Assessment Of Selected Border Roads Sections Of India Through Advanced Remote Sensing Technique,” based at the Department of Civil Engineering. Qualification:

  • Post Graduate in basic science or Graduate/Post Graduate in a Professional Course selected through one of the following processes:
  1. Scholars selected through National Eligibility Test-CSIR-UGC NET, including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE.
  2. Selection process through National Level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and institutions (DST, DBT, DAE, DOs, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IISc, IISCR, etc.) with a minimum of 2 years of Research Experience.
  • Candidates with expertise in Remote Sensing and GIS, along with modeling and coding skills, are also desired.

Selection Procedure:

An online interview is scheduled for January 29, 2024, at 11 AM, conducted through video conferencing.
