Sports Authority of India (SAI) Assam is inviting applications for various legal positions, specifically for the role of Young Professional (Legal) on a contract basis. The initial contract period is for 2 years, extendable on a yearly basis up to a maximum of 5 years (2+1+1+1), subject to satisfactory performance and the requirements of SAI. Essential Qualification:
- Bachelors of Law (LLB) from a recognized university
Desired Qualification:
- Masters of Law from a recognized university OR Specialization in Sports Law
Experience:
- 1 year of work experience in the relevant area.
- Experience in any Government/Semi Govt./Autonomous/PSU in the relevant field.
Salary:
- Rs. 50,000/- per month
Age Limit:
- Not more than 32 years
Job Roles:
- Drafting para-wise comments, counter affidavit, rejoinders, show cause notices, contracts, agreements, Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs).
- Providing legal opinions on various sports-related matters/administration matters.
- Assisting/briefing the Panel Counsel regarding various matters.
- Appearing before various courts along with the Panel Counsel on a requirement basis.
- Rendering assistance to SAI officers in legal matters.
- Staying informed about the latest developments in laws regarding sports/administration matters.
- Handling/assisting in Departmental Inquiries/preparation of reports.
- Any other tasks assigned by the reporting officer.
