Bodoland University in Assam seeks eligible candidates for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under a sponsored research project by the Department of Science & Technology (DST)-Science & Engineering Research Board (SERB), Govt. of India. The project, titled “Ontogenic Development of Digestive Functions in Two Air Breathing Fish Species and Their Response to different conditions,” is part of the State University Research Excellence (SURE) Scheme.

Essential Qualification: Candidates need an M.Sc. in Zoology, Life Science, Biotechnology, or Fisheries Science, specializing in areas like Fish Biology, Aquaculture, Molecular Biology, or Animal Physiology. The degree should have top grades and be from a recognized Indian or foreign university.
Desired Qualification: Applicants should ideally have CSIR-UGC-NET-JRF/NET-LS/GATE or similar qualifications. Experience in working with aquatic animals, conducting lab experiments, and using biochemical and molecular techniques is preferred. Strong scientific writing skills are also valued for this position.

Salary: Rs. 31000/- per month + admissible HRA
Age: Applicants should be under 28 years old at the time of the interview. There are age relaxations applicable for SC/ST/OBC, PWD, and female candidates as per the norms set by SERB-DST.
