Applications are open for technical positions at the Dr. B Borooah Cancer Institute (BBCI) in Guwahati, Assam. The institute is seeking eligible candidates for the role of Phlebotomist on a contract basis.
Established in honor of the renowned physician, freedom fighter, and philanthropist Dr. Bhubaneswar Borooah, BBCI was founded in 1958 by the ‘Dr. B. Borooah Cancer Society Trust.’
Originally envisioned as a cancer hospital, it was approved by the Cabinet Committee on Security under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on June 7, 2017, to be taken over by the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India, as a Grant-in-Aid Institute and a unit of the Tata Memorial Centre (Mumbai).
