Borooah Cancer Society Trust,’ this institute commemorates the legacy of Dr. Bhubaneswar Borooah, a renowned physician and freedom fighter. Established in 1958 in Guwahati, it was envisioned to honor Dr. Borooah’s memory.
The late Debendra Nath Sarma and Dr. Kanak Chandra Borooah played pivotal roles in its establishment. The Institute has seen continuous development thanks to the efforts of individuals like Late Bimala Prasad Chaliha, Mahendra Mohan Choudhury, Bishnuram Medhi, Dr. Ghanashyam Das, and Dr. Birendra Nath Choudhury.

Qualification: MBBS. Preference will be given to those having experience / certificate in palliative care.
Age Limit: 40 years, extendable for in-service candidates of TMC
Salary: Rs. 84,000/- per month
Name of post: Nurse
Qualification: B.Sc. Nursing / M.Sc. Nursing / Diploma in Oncology Nursing
Age Limit: 30 years, extendable for in-service candidates of TMC
Salary: Rs. 29,000/- per month
Name of post: Attendant
Qualification: 12th pass
Age Limit: 27 years, extendable for in-service candidates of TMC
Salary: Rs. 14,400/- per month
