- Integrated Post Graduate MA/M.Sc from Regional College of Education with at least 50% marks
- OR Post-Graduation with a minimum of 55% marks and a three-year integrated B.Ed/M.Ed
- OR Master’s Degree with at least 50% marks in Hindi or Sanskrit (with Hindi at the graduation level)
- OST PGT (Hindi) qualification
- B.Ed or equivalent degree from a recognized university
- Desirable: Knowledge of Computer Applications
Age Limit:
As of April 1, 2024, the age criteria for candidates are as follows:
- Fresh Candidates: Below 40 years old.
- Experienced Candidates: Below 57 years old (with a minimum of 5 years experience in the relevant category within the last 10 years).

Essential Qualification:
- Integrated Degree Course from regional College of Education of NCERT in the concerned subject with 50% marks
- OR Post-Graduate degree with minimum 55% marks and three-year integrated B.Ed/M.Ed
- OR Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks in the relevant subject combination:
- TGT (Science): Bachelor’s degree in Science with any two of Botany, Zoology, Chemistry, and Physics
- TGT (Mathematics): Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics with any two of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Economics, Computer Science, Statistics
- TGT (S. St): Bachelor’s degree with any two of History, Geography, Economics, and Political Science, one of which must be History or Geography
- OST TGT qualification in the subject
- B.Ed or equivalent degree from a recognized University
- Qualification in Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET)/Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) as per NCTE guidelines
- Proficiency in teaching in English medium
- Desirable: Knowledge of Computer Applications
