Essential Qualification:
Professor / Associate Professor / Assistant (Psychiatry):
- Recognized medical qualification as per IMC Act, 1956
- Post graduate degree in the relevant specialty or equivalent
Other Teaching Positions:
- Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology/Social Work/Psychiatric Nursing
- Recognized M. Phil degree for Clinical Psychology/Psychiatric Social Work
- Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology/PSW/Psychiatric Nursing
Clinical Psychologist:
- M. Phil in Clinical Psychology from RCI recognized Institution with valid CRR
Social Worker:
- M. Phil in Psychiatric Social Work from recognized Institution
Experience:
Professor-Psychiatry:
- 12 years in the profession, with at least 4 years as Associate Professor in the concerned specialty in a Medical College/Teaching Institution after post-graduate qualification
- Extensive practical and administrative experience required
Associate Professor-Psychiatry:
- Minimum 5 years of experience after post-graduate qualification, including at least 2 years as Assistant Professor
- Experience as Tutor/Demonstrator Sr. Resident/Registrar/Lecturer in a recognized teaching institution
Assistant Professor-Psychiatry:
- 1 year as Sr. Resident in the concerned specialty in a recognized/ permitted medical college after acquiring MD/DNB degree
Associate Professor-PSW / Clinical Psychology / Psychiatric Nursing:
- Minimum 5 years of teaching/research experience, including 2 years as Assistant Professor
Assistant Professor-Clinical Psychology:
- 1 year post M.Phil experience in the concerned discipline in a teaching Department Recognized by RCI, Department of Psychiatry recognized by MCI, or Independent work experience as a Specialist/Consultant at Multi Specialty hospital
Assistant Professor-PSW:
- 1 year post M. Phil experience in the concerned discipline in a teaching Department of Psychiatry recognized by MCI or Independent work experience as a Specialist/ Consultant at Multi Specialty hospital.
