The Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) has recently released an official notification regarding the recruitment of 10 Senior Information and Public Relations Officer and Junior Information & Public Relations Officer Vacancy under the Information, Public Relations, printing and Stationary Department, Government of Assam

APSC Recruitment 2023 Details

1. Name of the post : Senior Information and Public Relations Officer (IPRO)

No. of posts : 04

Category-wise Vacancy:

• UR: 03
• OBC/MOBC: 01

Salary: Rs. 30,000 – Rs. 1,10,000 + Grade Pay Rs. 13,900

Educational Qualifications For The Post Of Senior IPRO:

• A graduate in Science/Arts/Commerce from a recognized university only will be acceptable (Professional/Technical Degrees allowed).
• A degree/diploma in Journalism or in Mass Communication from an Institute recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC) or at least five years’ experience in Journalism in a responsible capacity in a Newspaper/News/Public Relations Organisation/ Government Public Relations Department.
• A good command over English.
• Knowledge of Assamese or any other regional language or local language of the state.
• Knowledge of Computer Application. The candidates must possess a minimum 6 (six) months Diploma/Certificate in computer proficiency from a Govt recognized institute.

2. Name of the post: Junior Information and Public Relations Officer

No. of posts: 06

Category-wise Vacancy:

• UR: 04
• STP: 01
• STH: 01

Salary: Rs. 30,000 – Rs. 1,10,000 + Grade Pay Rs. 12,700

Educational Qualifications For The Post Of Junior IPRO:

• A graduate in Science/Arts/Commerce from a recognized university only will be acceptable (Professional/Technical Degrees allowed).
• A degree/diploma in Journalism or in Mass Communication from an Institute recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC) or at least three years’ experience in Journalism in a responsible capacity in a Newspaper/News/Public Relations Organization/ Government Public Relations Department.
• A good command over English.
• Knowledge of Assamese or any other regional language or local language of the state.

Age Limit for APSC Recruitment 2023

The candidates should not be less than 21 years of age and not more than 38 years of age as on January 01, 2023

Age Relaxation Category-wise:

• SC: 05 years
• ST: 05 years
• OBC/ MOBC: 03 years

Citizenship: Candidates must be Indian Citizens as defined in Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India.

Residentship:

• The candidate must be a permanent resident of the state of Assam.
• The candidate must produce PRC issued in Assam for educational purpose/ Employment Exchange Registration certificate / Voter ID card of the candidate or his/her parents will be treated as proof of residency along with the application form.
