Silchar Medical College in Assam is seeking applications for the role of Laboratory Technician under the Medical College VRDL in the Department of Microbiology, on a temporary and contractual basis. This esteemed institution serves as the primary referral hospital in Southern Assam, managing the healthcare system for the entire Barak Valley. Additionally, due to its strategic location, it extends medical services to neighboring states such as Mizoram, North Tripura, West Manipur, and South Meghalaya. Established on August 15, 1968, the college initially admitted 50 students annually to its MBBS course, with Prof. Rudra Goswami appointed as the inaugural principal on August 1, 1968.
